Much Anticipated New 2020 CMX500 and CMX500 'S Edition' Cruise Into Town This Month

When the CMX debuted just a few years ago, riders everywhere loved the way it combined a fresh, blacked-out look with timeless features like a low seat height, bobber styling and its narrow 471cc parallel-twin engine with an ultimately user-friendly powerband.

For 2020, the CMX is still that learner licence-friendly 500cc parallel twin-cylinder compact cruiser you know but we’ve added some impressive upgrades; like an LED lighting package (headlight, taillight, turn signals and more) new instruments, a slipper/assist clutch that lightens clutch pull and some new suspension. The CMX will be available for an MLP of $8,599 and in three colour options: Graphite Black, Matte Jeans Blue Metallic and Matte Armoured Silver.

We’ve also added a kitted-up variant to the mix, called the CMX500 ‘S Edition’ which showcases a different and new direction for the CMX range, one that many have been anticipating for quite some time. The CMX S has a set of factory-fitted accessories including; a headlight cowl, all-black fork covers and gaiters, plus a diamond-stitch style seat. Available in Matte Axis Grey Metallic and for an MLP of $8,999.

The riding position of the CMX is still relaxed and neutral, with gently outstretched arms matched to mid-mounted foot pegs and it’s still equipped with a removable pillion seat as standard. Rolling on fat tyres its low and lean ‘bobber’ silhouette – crowned by the steeply raked 11.2L fuel tank and fat handlebars – sits the rider firmly ‘in’ the machine.

Smooth riding, easy to handle with a very low seat height of 690mm and looks that turn heads. Want one? Get in touch with your local Honda dealer to grab a quote or book a test ride, or visit the model showroom.
