Australian Consumer Law Notice:
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
The benefits conferred by the Honda MPE Motorcycle Warranty are in addition to all other rights and remedies in respect of the product (or service) which you have under the Australian Consumer Law and any other law in relation to those goods and services.
Terms and Conditions
Effective date: 1 May 2026
Warranty
- This warranty is provided by Honda Australia Motorcycle and Power Equipment Pty. Ltd (ACN 006 662 862) of Level 4/6 Gladstone Street Moonee Ponds VIC 3039 (Honda MPE).
- Honda MPE warrants each new Honda motorcycle, scooter, and side-by-side vehicle other than the Excluded Products (collectively, Products) to be free from defects in material and workmanship under normal use for the applicable Warranty Periods set out in clause 2 below, subject to these Terms and Conditions (Honda MPE Motorcycle Warranty).
- For the purposes of these Terms and Conditions:
- Date of Delivery means the Product's sales registration date, as specified in the Sales Registration Form;
- Demo Model means a Product used by an authorised Honda MPE Motorcycle dealer (whether as a demonstrator model or otherwise) prior to sale to you;
- Excluded Products means any Honda motorcycle, scooter or side-by-side vehicle:
- not listed in clause 2, including CRF150R, CRF250R, CRF250RX, CRF450R and CRF450RX; or
- otherwise excluded pursuant to clause 7;
- Extended Warranty Period has the meaning given in clause 2;
- Sales Registration Form means the sales registration form completed by your Honda MPE Motorcycle dealer upon sale of the Product to you;
- you and your mean the Product owner; and
- terms such as 'including', 'for example' and similar expressions do not limit the words preceding them.
- To the extent of any inconsistency between these Terms and Conditions and any other document, these Terms and Conditions prevail.
Warranty Periods
Model Warranty Period Africa Twin, CB300R, CB500 Hornet, CB650R, CB750 Hornet, CB1000 Hornet SP, CBR500R, CBR600RR, CBR650R, CBR1000RR-R SP, CL500, CMX500, CMX1100, CRF300 Rally, CRF300L, Forza, GB350, Goldwing, NSC110 Dio, NT1100, NX500, PCX, XL750 Transalp, CB125F, NAVi If the Date of Delivery of the Product occurred before 1 July 2025 2 years, except for CB125F and NAVi, which have a Warranty Period of 1 year. If the Date of Delivery of the Product occurred on or after 1 July 2025 3 years plus an additional 3 year extension (Extended Warranty Period) (6 years total), provided that the Product is: - Serviced at an authorised Honda MPE Motorcycle dealer at all recommended service intervals according to the Product's service schedule;
- Serviced using genuine Honda MPE Motorcycle parts and lubricants; and
- Not used for commercial purposes.
Pioneer 520, Pioneer 700, Pioneer 1000 3 years XR150L, XR190CT, CRF450RL, Talon, Benly 1 year CRF50F, CRF110F, CRF125F, CRF250F, CRF300F 6 months The Warranty Period commences:
- for all Products other than Demo Models, on the Date of Delivery; and
- for Demo Models, on the date the product was first registered by the dealer with Honda MPE as a demonstrator product. State or territory law may alter the start date of the Honda warranty on demo models.
Honda MPE Motorcycle Warranty conditions
- The Honda MPE Motorcycle Warranty:
- applies only to new Products imported by Honda MPE and sold through an authorised Honda MPE Motorcycle dealer; and
- covers manufacturing defects in the battery installed in the Product as at the Date of Delivery for the Warranty Period, excluding any Extended Warranty Period.
- Not all repairs, adjustments and replacements are the result of defects in material or workmanship. There are other circumstances beyond the control of the manufacturer that might require you to visit your authorised Honda MPE Motorcycle service centre. These circumstances include varying weather and atmospheric conditions, fair wear and tear, improper usage of the Product.
- Honda MPE's liability under the Honda MPE Motorcycle Warranty is limited, at the option of Honda MPE, to the repair or replacement of faulty components or parts or payment for such repair or replacement, or to the re-supply of services or payment for such re-supply.
- The Honda MPE Motorcycle Warranty is only applicable whilst the Product is within the States and Territories of Australia
- Any authorised Honda MPE Motorcycle dealer will repair or replace any part which proves defective within the limits of the Honda MPE Motorcycle Warranty at no charge to the owner for replacement parts and labour
- All defective parts replaced under the Honda MPE Motorcycle Warranty become the property of Honda MPE
- We recommend that you use an authorised Honda MPE Motorcycle dealer and genuine Honda MPE parts and lubricants for servicing.

How to Claim Under Honda MPE Motorcycle Warranty
- Repairs within the limits of this Honda MPE Motorcycle Warranty will be carried out free of charge by any authorised Honda MPE Motorcycle dealer. You must bring your Product to an authorised Honda MPE Motorcycle dealer. To locate your nearest authorised dealer call 1300 559 846 or use the link: http://motorcycles.honda.com.au/#!/finddealer
- Under this Honda MPE Motorcycle Warranty, all costs of transporting the Product either to or from the authorised Honda MPE Motorcycle dealer (including but not limited to travel expenses, lost time, or pickup and delivery) are the responsibility of the Product owner. In some instances you may have additional rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
- In order to claim under the Honda MPE Motorcycle Warranty, you must:
- maintain the Product according to the schedule contained in the relevant owner's manual (supplied with the Product);
- if you are seeking to claim under an Extended Warranty Period, comply with the obligations set out at clause 2; and
- keep a record of all services and maintenance. Honda MPE may require proof the Product has been serviced according to schedule before agreeing to repair the Product under this Honda MPE Motorcycle Warranty.
- Where no proof of purchase documentation is available and Honda MPE does not have any record of the purchaser details the Honda MPE Motorcycle Warranty period shall be calculated from the wholesale date of the unit to the authorised Honda MPE Motorcycle dealer.
Cancellation of Honda MPE Motorcycle Warranty
If a Product is recorded on an Australian State or Territory's Written-Off Vehicles Register, Honda MPE may cancel this Honda MPE Motorcycle Warranty in respect of that Product at any time with immediate effect.
Transfer of Honda MPE Motorcycle Warranty
- Subsequent purchaser(s) of the Product may obtain the benefit of any unexpired portion of this Honda MPE Motorcycle Warranty by completing the transfer of ownership form (inside the Product's Warranty and Service Record Booklet and submitting it to Honda MPE, or an authorised Honda MPE Motorcycle dealer following the purchase of the Product.
- The subsequent owner will be subject to all of the provisions, limitations and exclusions of this Honda MPE Motorcycle Warranty.
- If a Product which was originally sold for a commercial purpose is later resold for private or domestic use, the Honda MPE Motorcycle Warranty period remaining is the remaining period for commercial use.
- Please note: New copies of the Owner's Warranty and Service Record Booklet will not be supplied for Products purchased second hand. The original booklets must accompany the Product.
What is Not Covered by Honda MPE Motorcycle Warranty
7.1 General exclusions
The Honda MPE Motorcycle Warranty does not cover the following:
- Deterioration due to normal use, fair wear and tear or exposure, including deterioration to soft trim, paint, bright metal trim, engine, frame, fork and shock absorber seals due to fair wear and tear or dirt or water exposure, unless due to a defect in workmanship or material;
- Normal maintenance items including adjustment and cleaning of fuel system, fuel strainer, oil & air filter, cables, brake components, intake valves, exhaust valves, clutches and serviceable bearings;
- Normal replacement of parts and service items, including spark plugs, air & oil filters, tyres, tubes, batteries, brake pads, brake shoes, lightbulbs, fuses, clutch components and serviceable bearings;
- Any part that has been subject to misuse, negligence, accidental damage, improper or inadequate maintenance, or improper storage;
- Repair rendered necessary or arising from the use of other than genuine Honda parts and lubricants;
- Any defect or damage from repair, work or modification (including the fitment of any accessory to the Product, other than a genuine Honda accessory installed on the Product for which it was designed) to the Product performed by anyone other than Honda MPE, except to the extent such defect or damage arises from repair, work or modification carried out by a Honda MPE dealer to remedy a defect in accordance with this Honda MPE Motorcycle Warranty;
- Any damage that results from operating methods other than those indicated in the owner's manual, or use beyond the limitations or specifications as published by Honda MPE; and
- Any indirect loss, cost, expense or damage (Indirect Loss) incurred by an owner while a Product is being repaired under this Honda MPE Motorcycle Warranty (including but not limited to travel expenses, lost time, or pickup and delivery). This clause 7.1(h) does not limit any rights you may have to such Indirect Loss under the Australian Consumer Law.
7.2 Specific Exclusions - Honda motorcycle, scooter and side-by-side Products
In addition to the general exclusions at clause 7.1 above, the Honda MPE Motorcycle Warranty does not cover the following:
- Use of the Products for racing or competition, racing or record attempts, or equipped with a sports kit, even if Honda MPE supplies the kit; and
- Products modified from original Honda MPE specifications, including modifications of sprocket size, gear ratios, electrical loads, fuel system and intake and exhaust system changes.
